Fuller is back with the Falcons one day after the team's roster cuts.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. The Atlanta Falcons have signed veteran safety Jordan Fuller to their active roster.

Fuller was among the team'sannounced roster cuts on Tuesday, and his inclusion came as a bit of a surprise. Atlantasigned Fuller as a free agentduring the offseason, and he was a starter for Raheem Morris' defense in Los Angeles for the 2021 season, which culminated with the Rams winning the Super Bowl. In four years with Los Angeles, Fuller started 48 games, including two in the postseason; he recorded 279 tackles, 17 pass defenses, 7 interceptions and 4 forced fumbles.

Prior to the Falcons drafting Xavier Watts in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft, it was expected Fuller would be the Day 1 starter at safety opposite Jessie Bates III. Even after Watts joined the team, Fuller was a consistent presence for the starting defense in training camp and figured to be a factor in the rotation.

"We've trained together [at] 6 a.m., so I know everything that Jordan is about," Bates said when he was signed. "When he hit me up and was like, 'Hey, I'm thinking about coming to Atlanta. I was like, 'Why wouldn't you come to Atlanta?'

"There's a lot of opportunity in our room, and he's a great add to our room. Not just as a football player, but as a person. The person that he is, it's pretty impressive; the family that he comes from. So, it's good to be able to work with him, not just during the offseason. Now he's in the building. We're able to bounce off each other a little bit. Great addition for our team."

Fuller has proven comfortable in zone coverage and works best as the deep safety. During the 2023 season, Fuller performed well in coverage. According to Next Gen Stats, he forced a tight-window throw on 26.2% of the passes into his territory, the second-highest rate in the league among safeties. He was most recently with the Carolina Panthers in 2024, but he missed nearly half the season due to a hamstring injury.

In the preseason, Fuller played 48 snaps on defense 23 in the first game and 25 in the second game. He did take any defensive snaps in the final preseason game. Fuller also played nine special teams snaps across the three games.

Fuller's signing comes after the Falcons placedsecond-year edge defender Bralen Trice on injured reserveandsigned offensive tackle Michael Jerrell, so the team's active roster currently stands at a full 53 players.
