Mugabe expounds on food aid

The Nashville News.Net
Thursday 2nd July, 2009

President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe has spoken on food aid to an agriculture conference in Sirte, Libya.

Speaking at the African Union summit, his theme was on food security.

President Mugabe has been widely blamed in his own country for destroying Zimbabwe's once prosperous agriculture economy when he allowed white farmers to be driven from their land.

Mr Mugabe recently dispatched his Economic Planning Minister to seek aid for agriculture and other sectors from the African Development Bank.
